An Impressive 19thC Tortoiseshell Veneered & Gilded Corpus Christi sub-Rugs- Carpets & Textiles floral scentsOrigin: English Period: Mid Late Nineteenth Century Provenance: Unknown Date: 1870 Height: 23. 25 inches The nineteenth century gilded Corpus Christi, on red tortoiseshell veneered crucifix with scroll inscribed INRI above, the whole on a stepped ebony base. The corpus is in good overall condition, barring one old repair to the apex where the four joins meet, this repair was an amateur one and as such there is a little bit of movement in this area.
