An Attractive Mid 20thC North African Polychrome Carved Wooden Ceremonial Face Mask sub-Curios this is a museum standardOrigin: Moroccan Period: Mid Twentieth Century Provenance: Unknown Date: c. 1940 60 Height: 15. 5 inches Width: 6. 5 inches Depth: 5 inches (all at maximum) The ceremonial carved wood dance mask having a domed oval face with slit eyes, long aquiline nose and mouth, polychrome covered with an ebony and ivory pigment, surmounted with pecking bird headdress. The mask is in superb overall order with only small scuffs and softened wear to edgings
