This species comes from the Barisan range in Sumatra where it grows sympatrically with other iconic Nepenthes species such as dubia and lingulata
Since the plants prefer such out of reach growing sites
Nepenthes burbidgeae comes from the Bornean state of Sabah where it can be found growing in mid montane to upper montane elevations
I believe the forms from Trusmadi rival the largest of any locale
It seems like there's a number of locations in the Phillipines where this form occurs and there's been a number of forms and clones circulating throughout Europe and the USA for decades
