Waldeck, Principality. A Silver Medal Of Merit With Swords, C.1915 United Republic of inscribed “Furchtlos und Trew” as(Silberne Verdienstmedaille mit Schwertern). Instituted 26 September 1878 by Prince Georg Victor. (1915 1918 issue). Constructed of silver, on loop for suspension from a clasp of crossed swords, in turn on a suspension loop with its period original ribbon, the obverse of the medal featuring a monogram of Prince Georg Victor, the reverse with an inscription of FR VERDIENST, unmarked, the medal measuring 30. 32 mm in diameter, the swords measuring 31.
