It closes in the back with a working zipper and 2 hooks. The scarf is attached to the front of the dress, so it doesn't flop around. The fabric is lightweight and comfortable. The skirt of the dress had pleats sewn in which show a white fabric. This dress was stored for many years in my elderly neighbor's home. She probably wore it to work in the bank, where
